What this one
actually does
Three questions we answer on every hat before you buy it. A hat that cannot answer all three is not listed at all.

Rain
The box is board, not a waterproofed case. Keep it out of standing water; if the outside gets damp, dry it open and empty.

Crushing
The box is rigid but not load bearing. It protects a hat from knocks, not from weight stacked on top.

Shedding
The brush loses a few bristles in its first uses. Pick them out of the felt rather than brushing them in.
About this hat
The brush is soft bristle on a bone-finished handle, sized to sweep a crown in one pass. It is what clears the loose surface fibre every new felt hat releases.
The box is rigid board with a wine lining, sized so a wide brim sits inside without touching the wall. A felt hat kept in a box keeps its shape; a felt hat kept on a shelf under something else does not.
We list this with the hats rather than hiding it in an accessories page because for felt it is not an upsell, it is the difference between a hat that lasts and one that does not.
